New users are nominated by the existing members and receive a nomination in the form of a personalized landing page that has the nominator’s private code embedded in its address. By clicking on the “Accept Nomination” button nominees can initiate the registration process and skip the step where they have to provide a referral code.

New users can also register on the platform by entering a referral code shared by an existing member. If they do not have access to a code, they can request a temporary code from Cenergim until they are linked to an appropriate member.
Members can select multiple roles based on their needs. However, to complete the registration process new members should select a primary role. Once the registration is complete, they can request to add a new role for a change the existing one.
Existing members can request a new role or change their existing role into a new one. Permissions are granted based on the rules set by the admin based on the role management policies. A member with multiple roles can toggle between the roles from the pull-down menu on the top right hand side of the screen.
Depending on the primary role selected, new members can complete a comprehensive profile that includes all the information about their specialities or the business services that they provide.
Members can update their profiles in two ways. First, by clicking on the pencil icon on the right hand side of any field title to open its content. Second, by clicking on the “Update Profile” link on the left navigation bar under Membership.
A password can be changed by accessing “Change password” link on the left navigation bar under Membership.
Each member can nominate new members by sending personalized nominations to their network through the platform. These nominations are automatically tagged using the member’s private code and link for tracking and reward management purposes.
Customizable and templatized messaging enables members to fully customize and personalize their messages. Nominations can be sent out individually or in bulk by uploading a .CSV file containing nominees’ information.
Each member can view and manage their private ecosystem consisting of all their accepted nominations in the profile list. The list can be viewed by selecting “Profile List” from the left navigation menu.
Each member can view the list of their nominees who have received an invitation along with the roles and the campaign source for the nominees who accepted the invitation.
Members can communicate with the members of their private ecosystem or people outside their network by clicking on the “Send an Email” button on their profile page.

Any user on the system can submit a request for support by accessing the help desk menu and issuing a support ticket. Tickets are automatically forwarded to the right parties based on their support category.
Cenergim platform automatically adds a personalized signature to each email. This enables the nominees to identify the source and follow the calls-to-action set by the nominator.
Members receive automated notifications via email to let them know that they have a message waiting for them.
Messages can be retrieved by clicking on the bell sign on the top right hand side of their dashboard.

Challengers are companies who submit challenges to be solved by the Innovators and Specialists in the Cenergim ecosystem.
Challengers can discreetly submit a challenge to Cenergim for review and approval by using an intuitive and templatized interface that guides the Challenger with providing values to choose from. Nobody except the Cenergim staff will have access to the provided information.
Cenergim solution is an outcome-driven solution that enables Challengers to define the outcomes that they are trying to achieve even if they do not know how to achieve them. Based on the desired outcomes Cenergim Success Managers can work with the Challenger to edit and properly define the challenge that can be solved by the invited Innovators.
Challengers can select to receive competitive bids or
name their price by offering a cash reward. To offer a cash reward, Challenger indicates a reward amount and a maximum reward amount in the Challenge Logistics Tab. Innovators are presented with the reward amount only. However, if the offered reward is not accepted, Cenergim can arbitrage and negotiate with Innovators based on the maximum reward amount. If both fields are left blank, Cenergim would automatically ask Innovators to provide bids.
Challengers can also set the criteria for critical success factors (CSFs) and deliverable specifics success criteria that the Innovators should meet as a condition of satisfaction to successfully solve the challenge. To facilitate setting the conditions properly Cenergim offers a comprehensive list of conditions to choose from.
Challenger dashboard offers vital information that Challengers need to manage their challenges summarized in a single page for ease of accessibility.
Challengers or Cenergim Success Managers can set up milestones that need to be completed by Innovators. These milestones are used for project management and payment scheduling purposes. They are also included in Statement of Work (SoW) section of the agreement for compliance purposes.
Cenergim reviews all the bids received from the Innovators and would present the top three (3) finalists to the Challenger for review and selection.
Once the submitted Challenge is approved by the Cenergim Success Management team a request for information (RFI) is sent to eligible Innovators as the first phase of qualification process. RFI contains high-level challenge information without disclosing any information about the Challenger to maintain anonymity and confidentiality. Interested Innovators will then provide additional information per Success Manager’s request to advance their candidacy to the next phase.
Top Innovators will receive a detailed request for proposal (RFP) that includes all the pertinent information about the challenge as well as the requirements to successfully solve the challenge.
Challengers can view the qualification list of each Innovator who responded to the RFI and provided additional information in the form of a questionnaire exclusively designed and customized for the challenge by the Cenergim Success Management Team.
Challengers can also view the Success Manager’s evaluation and comments along with the rating of each proposal based on the combination of quality and price.
Similarly, Challengers can submit their comments and request for further clarification (RFC) from the Success Manager so that they can better evaluate the Innovator proposals and make a more informed final selection with more confidence.
Once Challengers have evaluated all the proposals they can choose the finalist and award the Challenge to their selected Innovator by clicking on the “Assign Challenge” button and selecting their name.
Once the Challenger has made the final selection, Cenergim Success Management team will prepare a very detailed co-innovation agreement between the Challenger and each Innovator or Specialist. Challengers can view the agreement by clicking on the “Challenge Agreement” Icon on top of the Challenge screen.
Challengers can view all their active challenges along with their status via the left navigation menu by selecting “Challenge List”.
Innovators are companies and institutions that provide services and solutions. Their primary role is solving challenges. Therefore, we call them the “Co-innovators”. They include technology solution providers, consulting firms, marketing agencies, startups, and universities to name a few.
Innovators who have been selected to receive RFIs or RFPs receive an invitation from the Success Manager via email. By clicking on the Sign In button they can access the Cenergim application and view their message.
Once Innovators sign into the application they can see the message by clicking on the notification button (bell) on the top right hand side of their screen to open the message.

Innovators must rate themselves for each of the challenge specific qualifications listed by the Success Manager. They can select each qualification from the Capability Required pull-down and filling the form below it.
Innovators can add additional qualifications by clicking the Add To List button below the form to save the information and begin the process for selecting the next qualification. Once all qualifications and questions are answered Innovators can submit their qualifications by clicking on the Submit button on the bottom of the page.
Innovators who select Not Interested option would be asked to provide feedback. By doing so, Success Managers can optimize the invitation process and make sure that this Innovator is invited to another challenge that better meets their interest and qualification.
Interested Innovators who submit their qualifications are asked to digitally verify and sign to proceed to the next round of qualifications.
Qualified Innovators whose qualifications met the requirements receive a detailed RFP for review. These Innovators would see a RFP tab next to the RFI tab and can access the RFP by clicking on it’s tab.

Success Managers are professional project managers who manage the entire challenge management process. Depending on the nature and the complexity level of the challenge Success Managers can be selected from Cenergim staff or specialists in the Cenergim ecosystem.
Success Managers can manage each challenge via a dashboard that allows them to view a summary of the challenge and perform all the required tasks to ensure successful resolution of the challenge.
Like Challengers Success Managers can also view a list of all challenges assigned to them. They can also select, view, and manage a challenge by clicking on the “Manage Challenge” button to open up a specific challenge dashboard.
Cenergim platform automatically generates a request for information (RFI) for each challenge and allows the Success Managers to quickly review, edit, and approve it before inviting the qualified Innovators.
Content of an RFI can be viewed by pressing the “Show Me” button on the bottom of the RFI Generator.
Like RFIs, RFPs are also generated by the platform. Similarly, Success Managers can review, edit, and approve RFPs before sending them to the top candidates.
Success Managers can open and edit the content of each challenge by clicking on the “Edit Challenge” button in the Challenge Dashboard to open the Challenge Editor.
Challenge Editor creates a clone of the challenge to enable the Success Managers to edit and modify the challenge content provided by the Challenger without losing the content of the original challenge. Once the challenge has been edited and finalized an RFI gets generated.
Upon finalizing the RFI Success Managers can view a list of qualified Innovators to invite by sending them the RFI.
Success Managers can view each individual Innovator profile and zoom into its content to review the Innovator capabilities and select the top choices for receiving the RFI.
Success Managers can select the top choices by adding them to the “Selected List”. The selected Innovators would receive a notification and invitation to view and accept the RFI.
Success Managers can send a personalized message to the selected Innovators.
Invited Innovators and their status can be viewed by the Success Managers to facilitate the management of Innovator evaluation and selection. The invited list shows the list of Innovators who have received RFIs or RFPs for each challenge as well as the status of their interest and response.
Success Managers evaluate the proposals provided by Innovators and provide a recommendation and rating for each proposal. Innovators are rated on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest score. Innovators are rated based on the quality of their proposals and ability to solve the challenge. Once the Success Managers have finalized their evaluation they click on the check box that tells the system to automatically notify a Challenger via email. Challengers can then review the evaluations through their dashboard.
The recommended Innovators can be viewed by accessing the candidate list in a similar fashion that Challengers can access the list.
Success Managers can conveniently and securely communicate with all challenge stakeholders in the virtual challenge ecosystem to exchange information, track progress, and resolve issues.
Success Managers can communicate with anyone either inside or outside of the Cenergim ecosystem through an integrated email tool.
Success Managers can quickly customize the RFI generator by selecting the appropriate templates and adding new questions to the questions bank.
Success Managers can also customize the Innovator questionnaire portion of the RFI by selecting the existing questions in the question bank.
Success Managers can also customize Innovator qualification criteria for each RFI by selecting the specific parameters based on the capabilities and the expertise level required to solve the challenge.
Innovator responses to the RFI questionnaire can be viewed by Success Managers for evaluating and selecting the most eligible candidates to advance to the next phase and receive detailed RFPs.
Once the Challenger has reviewed the recommended Innovators and selected the finalist, the Success Manager can assign the challenge to the selected Innovator for solving the challenge.
Success Managers also work with the Cenergim management and legal teams to customize our co-innovation agreement for each specific challenge. Each party must execute an agreement prior to initiating the challenge management process.
A detailed Statement of Work (SoW) is generated by the Success Managers that provides comprehensive information about the Innovator(s), their obligations to the Challenger, and agreed upon services and commitments.
Administrators are the people with the highest privileges in the system who can set policies and rules. They can also customize and manage the application for each licensee.
Admins can define the steps required for the completion of the challenge. They can also dynamically modify an existing template based on the their specific needs.
The defined steps can be assigned to a specific role by selecting the step title and the role from the pull-down menus.
Similarly, the defined steps can be linked together in a chain to create the entire workflow for challenge management by selecting a step and defining the previous and the next steps for it.
Administrators can send a notification to anyone or all the members of their organization. Members receive an email alert that notifies them that there is a notification waiting for them in the system.
Admins can view all the sent notifications by clicking on the “Sent Notifications” tab. They can also choose and click on any notification to view its content.
Admins can add new permission categories by clicking on the “Permission Definitions” tab in the Role Management section of the Permissions menu.
Admins can easily add a new role in the organization by clicking on the “Role Definition” tab. Once submitted and activated the role appears on the Roles List.
New permissions can be assigned to an existing role or can be revoked from the “Role Permission” tab. The Summary View on the right hand side shows all the permissions assigned to a specific role.
Admins can quickly change a member’s role or assign an additional role to him/her by clicking on the “Role Member” tab and then selecting the member and the roles from the pull-down menu. This enables the admin to easily process the role change requests submitted by the members.

SOW

A detailed Statement of Work (SoW) is generated by the Success Managers that provides comprehensive information about the Innovator(s), their obligations to the Challenger, and agreed upon services and commitments.

Administrators are the people with the highest privileges in the system who can set policies and rules. They can also customize and manage the application for each licensee.

Create Challenge Workflow Steps

Admins can define the steps required for the completion of the challenge. They can also dynamically modify an existing template based on their specific needs.

Create Role Steps

The defined steps can be assigned to a specific role by selecting the step title and the role from the pull-down menus.

Create Steps Flow

Similarly, the defined steps can be linked together in a chain to create the entire workflow for challenge management by selecting a step and defining the previous and the next steps for it.

Send Notifications

Administrators can send a notification to anyone or all the members of their organization. Members receive an email alert that notifies them that there is a notification waiting for them in the system.

View Sent Notifications

Admins can view all the sent notifications by clicking on the “Sent Notifications” tab. They can also choose and click on any notification to view its content.

Define Permissions

Admins can add new permission categories by clicking on the “Permission Definitions” tab in the Role Management section of the Permissions menu.

Define A New Role

Admins can easily add a new role in the organization by clicking on the “Role Definition” tab. Once submitted and activated the role appears on the Roles List.

Set Role Permissions

New permissions can be assigned to an existing role or can be revoked from the “Role Permission” tab. The Summary View on the right hand side shows all the permissions assigned to a specific role.

Assign Roles To Members

Admins can quickly change a member’s role or assign an additional role to him/her by clicking on the “Role Member” tab and then selecting the member and the roles from the pull-down menu. This enables the admin to easily process the role change requests submitted by the members.

Admins can view role requests from the “Role Request list” submenu in the Permissions menu on the left hand navigation bar.

Change Roles

By selecting a request and clicking on the Action button to the right of the member’s name admins can view role requests and take the appropriate action by either accepting or rejecting the request. Members are automatically notified and can view the reasons the permission was granted or rejected.

Define A Promotion

Admins or marketing managers can define and role out a new promotion by accessing the “Submit Promotion” sub-menu and then selecting the proper parameters like the promotion category, promotion value and active time frame and adding a description for the promotion.

View The Promotion List

Admins can view all the promotions in the system by accessing the the “Promotion List” sub-menu. They can also view any promotion detail by clicking on the Action button to the chosen promotion.

Active promotions are also accessible from the the promotion menu. This list shows the list of active promotions and the members who are using them.

Document Generator

Admins and marketing managers can generate new documents in HTML format using an editor. These documents can be used publicly or privately depending on the permission policies.

Success Managers can see a list of Interested Innovators who have been approved as registered Innovators by clicking on the Registered Innovators tab.
